I'm finding out that it's one thing to know theoretically  that something is a controversial topic, when you are surrounded by either like-minded people or those who are respectful of decisions and opinions differing from their own.
It's another entirely to find out concretely that it is indeed dear to the heart of someone who has made their career choice based on a position opposite yours, and to find yourself asking that person for assistance.

Losing Teeth, Left and Right!

Yikes! These pictures have been sitting here *too long*, waiting for me to tell you all about the adorable darling in them, losing her first teeth.
Her two bottom teeth have boon loose for a LONG time, like over a month, and she's been faithfully wiggling them *hard*, and keeping me in a regular fit of the willies, as loose teeth are one of the things I just can't stand.

Are children just born able to give this look? Because all of mine can do it really well.

This time it was about a toothbrush.

It was really hard to say no to that look. But I was buying toothbrushes for everyone else. So it wouldn't have worked to buy a special one just for Oksana. I did tell her that that if she still wants it by the time her birthday comes, we will definitely go and get that very toothbrush. Because, really, what mom is going to deny her child a toothbrush?!
